  1. Look at popular photoblogs– looking at fellow photographer’s work can inspire you very much. looking at another’s blog could give you many new, fresh ideas.
  2. Shoot a sporting event– sporting events are full of great action shots, helping you practice shooting action shots so that if you ever want to pursue the career of sports photography
  3. Taking a walk– simply taking a scroll around your home can inspire you a lot, the outside of your home is full of great photo ideas
  4. using a prop- you could simply take a boring picture of the object, instead why not use the prop in an interesting way. Look at your prop and imagine all the great shots you could do with it. For example, a magnification glass, you could take a photo of you looking through the magnify glass
  5. telling a story in pictures– first find out what sort of story you want to tell, find out the beginning, middle, and end. One picture could describe itself in millions of words
  6. Taking a self-portrait– try to describe yourself with this portrait an example being your pose, making a funny pose can show that you may be a silly person, you could even describe yourself with your clothes, different shades of color might show how you are
  7. listen to some of your favorite music- think of how you would describe the song using a photo
  8. shoot for a holiday theme- Christmas is coming up why not shoot something with a Christmas theme
  9. shoot a family event- you could take a family portrait or even uncandid moments of your family
  10. see an art show- they can give you great ideas and a new idea that you could focus on
  11. go to the movie- before going think about the morals of the movie it may give you a great idea
  12. check out Flickr’s explore- Flickr has an explore page with images that they rank interesting 9 ties out 10 your going to get inspired from both creativity and how great they are photographed
  13. look all over while walking- While taking a walk look for great shots of Everything their life everywhere and you could take a lot of candid shots
  14. Read an art magazine- You don’t have to read an art magazine you read about any type of magazine one example being a fashion magazine, magazines are packed with many inspirational stuff
  15. Take on a photo assignment or challenge- A little pressure might be good it could get you thinking and spark new ideas
  16. shoot the same item 7 times- Shoot the same item but try to make every photo unique change the camera angle etc.
  17. take on a photo a day project- maybe all you need is a little push doing this little project could do just that and inspire you
  18. learn a new lighting technique- sometimes u just have to clear your mind this is going to help you do just that and help you with your future pictures
  19. Join a photo walk- get with a group of friends and go on a photo walk you guys can have fun and get plenty of photos
  20. go through your cd covers- CD/Album covers are usually great pictures look at some of the techniques the photographer used and implement them into your next shoot, you can get plenty of inspiration
