I did 2 fill flash pictures and 1 without the fill flash to show the major difference of the 2

fill flash is used when there are shadows, when the background is brighter than the subject. You can use the built in flash on a camera or use a external flash gun. One example as for when fill flashed is used us when somebody is wearing a hat and the shadow of the brim covering their eyes.
